Yup, That's me. Little Tula
My journey began at just 2 years old when I became deeply fascinated with horses.
After that day, I attempted to ride every cat and dog I encountered - my heart set on one dream: being around horses
I'm so grateful that my parents noticed this because they ended up taking me riding every weekend.
Not long after, horses quickly became a huge part of my life...
Even when my family moved to Kenya
(This was Abraham, my first pony)
Throughout my tumultuous teen years, these beautiful creatures loved every version of me
They played a huge role in shaping who I am today, and most importantly they taught me the foundations of compassionate inner leadership and conscious relating
Horses, like humans, are often misunderstood and quickly labeled as "naughty." But my time with horses has taught me that we are all fundamentally well-intentioned beings. When we act in hurtful and "bad" ways, it's usually due to unmet needs or a lack of skills, not inherent malice.
The art of horsemanship requires patience, compassion, and the recognition and nurturing of potential; all important pillars of non-dual love.
Horses' innate qualities as vigilant prey animals are precisely why they are valued in Equine Assisted Therapy - their heightened sensitivity (almost like a sixth sense) requires those around them to be fully authentic, it's hard to lie to yourself when you're around them.
If you want to have a trusting relationship with a horse, you have to lead yourself with compassion first.
To cut a REALLY long story short. My journey with horses, and my passion for love, led me to study psychology and entrepreneurship in The Netherlands.
Moving to Netherlands was not easy, especially because I had to be fully self sufficient financially in the first month of moving.
Working two jobs, while building my own business and studying full time, taught me valuable lessons that have shaped my understanding of resilience, leadership, conscious relating, and more!
These experiences revealed my passion for leadership. You might wonder what someone in their early 20s could know about leadership, without traditional "upper management" experience. But I'd argue our conventional measures of experience and competence are flawed.
It's the skilled workers, attentive to the subtle dynamics in their environments and interpersonal relations, who truly grasp the essence of leadership. This kind of contextual awareness and emotional intelligence are often undervalued compared to titles and seniority.
Through my own journey, I've learned that impactful leaders aren't always those with big titles. They're individuals who innately bring out the best in others, seek collaboration, and navigate complexity with empathy. This is the kind of leadership I aim to embody and empower in others, regardless of age or position.
My passion lies in sharing this perspective and helping people embrace their own leadership potential. The most valuable leaders are those deeply attuned to themselves and their surroundings - a skill that can be cultivated at any stage.
As a result, I created Loving To Love, to start a movement of Compassionate Inner Leadership and Conscious Relating. To help us all meet the transformative energy of love with more depth!
It's crazy what happens when you believe in yourself! And this is something that a lot of young professionals FEAR to do! But let us all be a part of making expansive living the new normal!
If there is a part of you that resonates with my journey, let's get in touch :)
